Being an adolescent can be hard. Teens must learn to handle more responsibility and sometimes stressful peer relationships, among other obstacles as they move toward becoming an adult. Adolescence can be an exhilarating, but also lonely experience at the same time. It can be helpful to have a safe place to come and share some of our deepest fears and feelings so that we do not have to bear them alone.
Even more so now than ever, teens struggle with difficult issues at an early age. Navigating social media, sexting, thoughts of suicide, and cutting are some of the unique challenges that they can face. Parents may not know how to help their struggling teen best. But often, parents play an essential role in understanding and supporting their youth to help them learn how to overcome any challenge.
